How Does the CT/Panoramic machine work?
To have 3D x-rays taken, you will stand without moving for a few minutes while the camera rotates around your head, taking pictures from all angles to get a 360-degree image of your mouth. The whole process only takes a few minutes and is highly accurate.
What are the Benefits of Having 3D Dental X-rays Taken?
Because 3D x-rays offer the dentist the most detailed view of your mouth, he or she has more information, allowing for better diagnosis, as well as the most effective implant placement.
Is it Safe to Have X-Rays Taken by the CT/Panoramic Machine?
While over exposure to radiation is a real concern, the new CT/Panoramic machine emits very small amounts of radiation. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has even approved it for children.
